Mercotac - Slip Ring

Brushless slip ring is a type of slip ring that contains liquid metal to transmit electrical power and signals. It needs no maintenance and rotates at very high speed. Can carry very sensitive signals. Due to these metal fluids used, friction is neglected and extremely long life compared to conventional brush ring products.

Brush-type slip rings typically consist of a rotating metal ring that rubs against a graphite or metal brush, transferring the electrical signal or current. While brush slip rings are technically simple in operation, the rubbing interface can lead to various problems. These include wear, high electrical resistance, oxidation, and resistance fluctuations, which cause electrical noise
